How many sessions of counselling do I need ?

You choose how many sessions you want, as everyone has different needs. Some people come and see me for one off sessions, or a number of sessions, while others will come for several years. You will decide how long you want to work with me.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require 48 hours notice of cancellations otherwise the full fee is due.

Are my sessions confidential?

All the sessions are confidential, however there are some legal limits to confidentiality if I feel you are going to be a harm to yourself or others. I have monthly supervision which is a requirement from my professional body. My supervision is done on a confidential basis.

How do I pay?

You can pay by cash or cheque at the end of each session.

What happens at our first meeting?

The first meeting is an opportunity for you to get a sense of me, and for me to get an idea of what your issues are, your expectations of counselling, and whether we can work together. I will ask you some questions and take some background information. You will have an opportunity to ask me any questions about the way I work, and then we decide whether to take things forward. This introductory session for 30 minutes is free.
